Boyd has a couple of additional hacks. “Use a bit of hand soap and water to gently blot the stain,” she says. If you’re truly on the go (walking, in a cab, etc.) Boyd recommends spraying the stain with a hand sanitizer—she likes MegaBabe’s—to “help lift it.”
Boyd is a formula developer with a background in science, so she’s attuned to ingredients you’ve never heard of that will make all the difference. The most important in this category is sodium percarbonate, the chief ingredient in things like OxiClean’s Revive Laundry Whitener and Lindry Lab Oxy Booster Laundry Treatment.
