
Lindsey Boyd, a co-founder of The Laundress, has a new venture in fabric and home care: Lindry Lab.
Boyd said her goal with Lindry Lab was to create a product line that met her standards across three core pillars: formula, fragrance and packaging.
“My approach is rooted in the same foundation—but it’s more exacting now because I know more,” Boyd told Happi.
Boyd and Gwen Whiting started The Laundress in 2004, offering an elevated spin on laundry and home care. Unilever acquired the brand in 2019.
“The desire to create exceptional products has never changed but my standards have. My expectations around formulation, fragrance and overall integrity are higher today, shaped by experience and a deeper understanding of ingredients and how they perform,” said Boyd.
Lindry Lab currently includes concentrated laundry detergents and fabric care options like clothing and home scent oils, an oxy booster and wool dryer balls; a stain product is expected to follow. Formulas include biobased ingredients, plant-based surfactants, concentrated enzymes and naturally derived fragrances, according to the new brand. The bottles are 100% PCR....
